NEW! Our JUNE 2013 Tikar Descendant Bush Pilgrimage/Return to N'Ditam

November 19, 2012

This morning, I decided to return to my Tikar Village of N'Ditam with my 10 year old son and the other African-American descendants of the Tikar culture. I will organize this pilgrimage to the bush with Issa Nyaphanga, the Tikar brotha who I went to the bush with in 2010. When I asked my hubby this morning if he was ok with me going back, one day I will tell you the story about how I went originally and didn't get his feedback whatsoever, and to my surprise he was fine with it. He said, "You know he will want to go with you," He being our 10 year old son X-man. I'll talk to X-man about it this morning. For years he has wrote about visiting the bush, but says he may not want to go due to the multiple shots you need. I'll let you know how it goes.

Update:
X-man says he will go, but he is afraid that the plane will fall in the ocean or run out of gas or that he will be bitten by a poisonous bug or snake or that he will be swarmed by mosquitos. But he will go. I think he is excited about being the first African-American kid of Tikar descent to return to the bush.

  1. Hello I have taken a African Ancestry DNA test and it revealed that my DNA is 99.6% Tikar origin. My quest is to make contact and learn more about the Tikar people. What would you suggest how I go about this?
